ITINERARY
DAY 1: TSAVO WEST – FINCH HATTONS CAMP
Leave your Nairobi hotel after an early breakfast and drive south across the extensive Athi Plains to Tsavo West National Park arriving at Finch Hatton’s luxury tented camp in time for lunch. Lying at the foot of the Chyulu Hills, one of the youngest volcanic ranges in the world, the camp has been styled to replicate the privileged safaris of the famous ‘white hunters’ of the colonial period. Denis Finch Hatton, the best‐known of them all, and the model for Robert Redford’s role in ‘Out of Africa’, was renowned for the splendour of his camps, which featured cut crystal, silver‐service and superb cuisine. DAY 2: TSAVO WEST – FINCH HATTONS CAMP
Full day spent exploring Tsavo West National Park, morning and afternoon game drives. All meals and overnight at Finch Hatton’s Lodge (BLD)
DAY 3: AMBOSELI – TORTILIS CAMP
Drive to Amboseli National Park lying below the most famous symbol of Africa, Mt Kilimanjaro. Afternoon game drive. Lunch, dinner and overnight Tortilis Camp. (LD)
DAY 4 : AMBOSELI – TORTILIS CAMP
Days spent in Amboseli National Park with morning and afternoon game drives in camp’s vehicle, shared with other clients. All meals and overnight at Tortilis Camp (BLD)
DAY 5: MASAI MARA – KICHWA TEMBO TENTED CAMP
Drive to Nairobi, Kenya’s colourful capital city. Lunch at Carnivore Restaurant then transfer to the airstrip for a scheduled flight to Masai Mara. On arrival, transfer and afternoon game drive in camp’s vehicle, shared with other clients. Dinner and overnight at Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp (BLD).
DAY 6 & 7: MASAI MARA – KICHWA TEMBO TENTED CAMP
Days spent game-viewing in the reserve with morning and afternoon game drives in camp’s vehicle, shared with other clients. All meals and overnight at Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp (BLD) (BLD).
DAY 8: NAIROBI
Transfer to the airstrip for a scheduled flight back to Nairobi – Wilson. On arrival, transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. (B)
GROUP SIZE: 2–12 clients
ACCOMMODATION: All accommodation is chosen for its unique location and scenic beauty. All offer en-suite facilities and full bedding in Luxury tented camps.
MEALS: All meals are undertaken at each luxury tented camp as per itinerary
TRANSPORTATION: Four-wheel drive vehicles are used on road and travelling in light aircraft between camps as per each itinerary. .
STAFF: One dedicated professional driver / guide. He is selected for his experience of the African bush, thus ensuring your travel experience is enjoyable and successful. Detailed information on the history of the area, fauna and flora is given to participants during the safari. The safaris are conducted in English.
