Children 6 and over are welcome. Shared accommodation for children – 1 x family room, 1 x triple room. Children under the age of 12 enjoy a 30% discount.
Notten’s Bush Camp is a delightful camp situated in the Sabi Sands region of the Greater Kruger National Park. This is an area that supports prolific wildlife where animals can move freely to and from Kruger National Park.
The accommodation consists of 6 beautifully appointed suites with open plan bedroom and en-suite bathroom. All windows and sliding doors are fitted with screens and lead to a wooden deck with beautiful and peaceful views of the surrounding bush. All rooms have hot showers and baths. Paraffin lamps and candles replace electricity in the chalets and this creates a true African safari ambiance. The camp does have electricity and the office will charge camera batteries and video cameras. Both breakfast and lunch is taken on the verandah overlooking the waterhole and surrounding bush. Dinner is taken either in the dining room where you will sit together with other guests or in the boma where you will sit under the stars around a raging fire. Both situations will give you an excellent opportunity to interact with other guests and swap animal viewing stories.
On the morning or afternoon game drives you will have an excellent opportunity of viewing some or all of the Big 5…..Elephant, Buffalo, Leopard, Lion and Rhino. You will also encounter other animals and birds.
You will enjoy a coffee or tea in the bush on the morning game drive and at sunset, whilst on the afternoon game drive, you will enjoy sundowners in the peaceful surrounds of the bush whilst observing another stunning African sunset. Return to camp after dark with spotlight viewing which can produce some interesting animal sightings as the nocturnal creatures venture out into the night and predators are on the hunt!!! Your open top vehicle is driven by an experienced guide whilst a Shangaan tracker sits at the front of the vehicle to seek out animals before you even know they are there!!! Bush walks with an experienced ranger can also be part of your daily activities.
